Inn at One Main
Location. The Inn at One Main is located in the historic Cape Cod village of Falmouth, Mass. The property is positioned at the west end of Main Street just off the Village Green, and is approximately one-quarter mile from antique shopping at the Antiquarium. Trails for biking, hiking and rollerblading are available on the Shining Sea Bike Path, located less than one mile from the inn. Falmouth Beach is less than two miles away.
Features. This Victorian-style inn, built in 1892 by a local hardware merchant, features Queen Anne accents, an open front porch and a two-story turret. Full, complimentary breakfasts, including stuffed French toast, Eggs Benedict and southwestern oven-baked omelets are served each morning. Towels, beach chairs and picnic baskets are available for guests to take to the beach. Pets are not allowed at this property.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms at the Inn at One Main include private bathrooms stocked with plush, oversized towels. Complimentary wireless Internet access and cable television are provided in all accommodations. Beds are dressed with Egyptian-cotton bedding. The Second Floor Turret Room features a sitting area furnished with couches and chairs. The Highboy Room features an antique bed and a pedestal sink in the bathroom. The Sunshine Room contains wicker furniture.
Expert Tip. The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, located less than four miles from The Inn at One Main, recovered the Titanic on Sept. 1, 1985. The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute features a full-size model of the inner sphere of the research vessel Alvin that visitors can enter.
