North Avenue Carriage House
The North Avenue Carriage House is located in historic downtown Ellijay, Ga., one block from historic buildings containing antiques, crafts and gift shops. Whitepath Golf Course is less than seven miles from the carriage house. Horseback riding is offered at the Cohutta Wilderness Stables, which are less than 15 miles away. Hiking trails are available less than 18 miles from the Carriage House at Fort Mountain State Park, and approximately 22 miles away at Amicalola Falls.
A red door opens into this 1937 Arts and Crafts bungalow, where a set of hand-painted roosters sit in the foyer. The North Avenue Carriage House provides complimentary breakfasts in the dining room. Additional meals are available for a fee. The carriage house includes a wet bar with fresh coffee and tea. A complimentary bottle of wine is provided for a stay of two or more nights. Pets are not allowed.
This 1,500-square-foot carriage house features two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a loft. The carriage house master bedroom is decorated in deep red and gold, and is furnished with a red upholstered side chair and floor lamp. The master bedroom also includes a bathroom with a shower and a large vanity area. The gold-themed Lookout Room features a chair, floor lamp and private bathroom off the adjacent hallway.
