Oak Garden Inn Bed and Breakfast
Location. The Oak Garden Inn B&B is located in historic Graham, Texas, one-quarter mile from the largest town square in America, which contains shops, restaurants and historical sites. The inn is approximately one mile from Fireman's Park, which features an antique carousel, baseball field and tennis courts. One of the few remaining drive-in theaters in the country, the Graham Drive-In Theater, is located less than four miles from the inn.
Features. This 1925 cottage-style bed and breakfast, set on one acre, features polished wood or tile floors, colorful rugs and crystal accoutrements. Full, complimentary breakfasts are served each morning. Lunch and dinner are available for a fee. A business center is provided in the inn's sunroom. The living room includes cable television, VCR, DVD player and surround-sound CD player. A selection of movies and music is available. Pets are not allowed.
Guestrooms. All guestrooms and suites at the Oak Garden Inn B&B feature solid-wood entry doors, which help maximize soundproofing. All rooms feature pillowtop mattresses. Bathrobes and a complimentary pair of house slippers are provided. Personal toiletries, bath salts and a complimentary container of the inn's exclusive lotion, Caroline Cream, are included. The Garden Suite offers a private entrance to the inn's patio and gardens, cable television, a DVD player and a VCR. The Vintage Room features a sleigh bed and walls showcasing classic Phantom of the Opera posters. The room's shared bathroom features an oversized shower with two sitting areas and a free-standing copper and granite sink.
Expert Tip. The Young County Jail in downtown Graham once held the Marlow brothers, who would later serve as inspiration for John Wayne's western movie "The Sons of Katie Elder."
