Oakenwald Terrace
The Oakenwald Terrace is located in the small town of Chatfield, Minn., which is known as the gateway to Minnesota's Bluff Country. The bed and breakfast is one block from the city's Main Street and downtown area, which offers Amish furniture stores, a bakery, a flower and candy store, and a canoe rental business. The bed and breakfast is popular with visitors of the Mayo Clinic, which is approximately 22 miles northwest of the property.
This historic inn features a parlor, library, screened-in porch and two decks. Complimentary four-course breakfasts are served each morning in the dining area. Dinner is available upon request. Complimentary high-speed Internet is provided. The inn offers a piano, organ, cello, violin and dozens of other instruments. Carved wood interiors and unique collectibles can be found throughout the house. The patio area features multiple fountains and flowers. Pets are not allowed at this property.
The six guestrooms at Oakenwald Terrace feature private bathrooms and sitting areas. Bathrooms are equipped with soaking tubs or showers. Mrs. Lovell's Room features one of the house's four original fireplaces, and offers a carved headboard and footboard made in 1850.
