The Blue Bed & Breakfast
Located in historic downtown Savanna, Ill., the Blue Bed & Breakfast occupies a spot on Main Street above the 1940s-style Café Blue. An assortment of specialty and gift shops, the Pulford Antique Mall and a motorcycle museum are across the street from the bed and breakfast. The Savanna Marina is one-quarter mile away. The Palisades State Park, located four miles from the property, features 2,400 acres with steep limestone bluffs and rocky palisades.
This converted bed and breakfast features tiered decks overlooking the Mississippi River, and a back door that leads to the river's banks. Full, complimentary breakfasts are served each morning in the breakfast room. The inn's signature dish is the "Bluey," which is a mixture of potatoes, vegetables, sausage, bacon, eggs and cheese. Lunch and dinner are available for a fee. The inn's living room features a fireplace. A bike trail is available adjacent to the property.
The Blue Bed & Breakfast offers three suites. Suite One provides a view of the river and a private bathroom. Suites Two and Three share a bathroom. Suite Three showcases artwork from a local artist. Vintage décor is featured in all guestrooms and private bathrooms. All accommodations include televisions, VCRs and games.
