The Sedgwick Inn

The Sedgwick Inn, located in Berlin, N.Y., is set on 12 acres of countryside in the Berkshire Mountains. The inn is approximately five miles from Berlin Mountain and Grafton Lake, and 17 miles from Mount Lebanon Shaker village, which includes a Shaker Museum and shops selling Shaker books, paintings and furniture. Hiking, biking, swimming, and cross-country and downhill skiing are available within 25 miles.
This classic country inn includes a main house, carriage house and a motel furnished with Colonial-style maple furniture. Full, complimentary breakfasts, including an assortment of cereal, warm muffins, eggs and freshly brewed coffee, are served daily on the inn's glass-enclosed porch, which overlooks the garden. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drinks are provided. The inn's restaurant serves light lunches and candlelit dinners accompanied by piano music, and boasts cuisine including roast rack of lamb and roasted duckling. The main inn includes common area, library, parlor and wrap-around porch. Handmade quilts and spindle-backed chairs are featured in the dining area. The motel's lawn is bordered by a small, babbling brook. An exercise room is located in a tin-lined, neoclassical building constructed in 1834 and once used as a Civil War recruiting station. Pets are allowed in the hotel annex.

The main house of The Sedgwick Inn features four rooms and a two-room suite, and the separate hotel annex contains six standard rooms. All accommodations include private bathrooms. Rooms are furnished with period décor and quilts.
